Farmers Market Vendor

PART-TIME // AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY

We are looking for someone to join our Waikato Farmers Market Team to help run the Volare stall on Saturdays in Cambridge and/or Sundays in Hamilton.

This job is not for the fainthearted – the hours are from 4.30am to 1pm – but you’ll be working with an energetic team, in a great environment, with opportunities to grow within the company. You’ll be responsible for packing the product, driving to site, setting up the market stall, serving customers, packing the stall down and returning to the bakery to clean the market equipment so that it’s ready for the next week.

The right candidate will have the following:

  • Cash handling experience in retail or hospitality.
  • Full License with experience driving a manual/van
  • Physically fit, able to lift 20kg.
  • Proven reliability and availability to work weekends

Bread Baker | Commercial Product

FULL-TIME // IMMEDIATE START

We are looking for a Senior Baker for 35-40 hours per week to join our commercial team at our fast-paced bakery on Gallagher Drive in Hamilton. The position pays between $23.50-$26.50 per hour, depending on position and experience. Hours are Monday – Friday, with rotating shifts starting as early as 2am and finishing as late as 6pm.

The successful candidate will be competent in:

  • Running multiple facets within the bake process
  • Creation and development of new bread products
  • Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread and bread roll products
  • Slicing, packing and palletising products ready for distribution
  • Health and safety standards
  • Food safety standards
  • Thinking outside the box as well as an understanding of lean production

You will report directly to the commercial manager.

The successful candidates must have more than 1 years’ experience, be fit and able and have the ability to think on their feet, with a proven record in all aspects of the baking industry.

Pastry Chef / Bakers

FULL AND PART-TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Are you eager for a challenge in a fast paced artisan bakery? We are looking for pastry cooks with great initiative to help work within our great team.

The successful candidates will be competent in:

  • Safe handling of food
  • Understanding a recipe card
  • Kneading, maturing, cutting, molding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods
  • Be confident using commercial ovens
  • Preparing pastry fillings
  • Glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing Following a daily mise en place
  • Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment
  • Thinking outside the box as well as an understanding of lean production Reporting directly to the pastry supervisor
  • Honest and reliable

The successful candidates must be fit and able, as well as have the ability to think on their feet. A minimum of 1 years relevant industry experience is required.

We are offering:

  • Full time position (32-40 hours) with a competitive wage based on experience, $25-$27 per hour, in-house training and flexible hours.
  • Part time position (15-24 hours) with a competitive wage based on experience, $22-$25.50 per hour, in-house training and flexible hours.

Artisan Bread Bakers

FULL-TIME // IMMEDIATE START

Are you a bread baker ready to make the next move in your career? Are you wanting a competitive wage? Are you sick of early starts? Then this could be the job for you! We are looking for bakers with at least 1 years’ experience that are fit and able and possess the ability to think on their feet, with a proven record of experience in all aspects of the baking industry.

The successful candidates will be competent in:

  • Running multiple facets within the bake process
  • Leading junior staff by accurate and direct communication
  • Health and safety standards
  • Food safety standards
  • Thinking outside the box as well as an understanding of lean production
  • Reporting directly to the bakery manager.

We currently have multiple positions available:

  • General Bakers: 35-40 hrs per week – paying $22-25.50 per hour, depending on experience
  • Senior Bakers: 35-40 hrs per week – paying $25.50-$28.50, depending on position and experience

Both positions have a competitive wage, in-house training and flexible hours. Initially the position will have an 11am start time.

Night Shift Packers

FULL AND PART-TIME AVAILABLE

We are looking for three hardworking Night Shift Bread Packers to join our busy team. Please note that you MUST be able to work weekends as shifts change with a 7-day roster.

The successful candidate must be:

  • Good with numbers and have a good memory as you will have to learn a wide range of products.
  • Fit and able as you will be standing for long hours and getting your steps in to find certain products and fulfil orders
  • A team player and able to follow instructions
  • Available to work any day of the week, including weekends (this is essential)
  • Available during December and January – this is our busy season and we cannot offer time off over this time

Start times vary from 9pm – 10pm and finish times depend on the number of orders that night, with the latest finish at 6am. Training will be provided. Pay starts at $22 per hour.

We are looking for:

  • 2x Full-Timers for 30+ hours per week
  • 1x Part-Timer for 10+ hours per week

Delivery Driver

FULL TIME

Volare are looking for a competent hardworking individual to join their growing delivery team. The role includes delivery of the highest quality bread and pastries around the Waikato and Bay of Plenty.

The role does require an early start (3am) so you need to be a morning person or be able to adapt to the hours. The position will include weekend work.

The successful candidate will be punctual, hardworking, and a team player, have a vast knowledge of Waikato & the Auckland region. All training will be provided.

You must be a NZ resident, posses a full driver’s licence, be able to drive a manual vehicle, have no past criminal convictions, have a clean driving history, be able to pass a drug test & work well under pressure.
